How interesting!  In the space of a year, I’ve been contacted by two women who had spinal tap procedures and were suffering from the side effects of headache and upper body muscle pain/stiffness.

The “spinal headache” is a result of the dura being punctured and spinal fluid being withdrawn — this cannot be remedied through massage, but by laying flat and drinking lots of water.  Both women were normally fit and healthy and were in a state of dismay at how horrible they felt post-Tap.

Fortunately, the muscle pain and stiffness was greatly relieved in both women after the first session, and both opted for a second session to clear out any residual discomfort and lingering triggerpoints.
